Setting up a fixed portal reader.

Prerequisites
An admin or "manage devices" role, and physical access to the reader hardware.
- Go to Settings → Devices → Add readerChoose "Fixed portal" as the device type.
- Name it and assign a locationUse a name that reflects where it is mounted, e.g. "Portal-04 · Loading Dock".
- Copy the device credentialsShown once — store them securely and configure them on the reader.WarningCredentials cannot be retrieved again — you’ll need to revoke and re-issue if lost.
- Confirm it comes onlineThe device list shows a green "online" pill once it sends its first event.TipWalk a tagged item through the portal to confirm the read.

Check power and network on the device, confirm the credentials were entered correctly, and re-issue credentials if they were lost.
