Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses Asetavo and forms part of the Terms of Service. You are responsible for your users' compliance with it.

1. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to: store, transmit or make available content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or that you have no right to use; violate intellectual-property, privacy or export-control laws; impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation; distribute malware or unlawful material; or attempt to access, tamper with, or use data belonging to another workspace or customer. You may not use the Service to build a competing product or to resell it without our written agreement.

2. Security & integrity

You may not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, breach or circumvent authentication or security controls, interfere with reader-ingest signing or device credentials, or disrupt service to any user, host or network (for example through denial-of-service or excessive load). Report vulnerabilities responsibly to security@asetavo.com rather than exploiting them; we welcome good-faith security research conducted under our reporting process.

3. Data & privacy obligations

You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis and any required notices or consents for the personal data you place in your workspace, including data about staff, custodians or third parties. You must not upload special-category personal data unless expressly agreed. Handle any personal data you can access through the Service in line with applicable data-protection law and our Privacy Policy and DPA.

4. Fair use of API/resources

API and platform access is subject to published rate limits and fair-use expectations. Automated or high-volume use that degrades the Service for others, circumvents limits, or scrapes data beyond your own workspace is not permitted. We may throttle, cache or limit requests to protect platform stability and will make reasonable efforts to communicate limits.

5. Enforcement & suspension

Depending on the severity of a violation, we may issue a warning, restrict features, suspend access, or terminate the account. We will use reasonable efforts to give notice, except where immediate action is needed to protect the Service, other customers, or comply with law.

6. Reporting abuse

If you become aware of a violation of this policy or a security concern, report it to security@asetavo.com. We investigate reports and act appropriately.
