Can Asetavo track assets by GPS?

Yes. On Growth and above, the mobile app records a GPS fix whenever an asset is scanned, moved or checked out, and shows each asset’s last position and trail on a map. Business adds site geofence alerts and hardware GPS trackers with live position, trail, stops and exit or offline alerts. Asetavo does not offer indoor real-time positioning.

Can I start without RFID?

Yes. Most teams start with QR codes or barcode labels and a phone camera — that works on every plan, including the free Starter plan. You can add NFC tags on Growth, and UHF RFID tags and readers on Business, when you need tap-to-identify or bulk reads.

Can I import my existing Excel asset register?

Yes. Open Import in your workspace and upload an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file: Asetavo suggests a match for each column, flags problem rows before anything is saved, and creates missing categories, locations and custodians for you.

Is there a mobile app?

Asetavo works in any mobile browser today at app.asetavo.com, including camera scanning. Native iOS and Android apps are built and coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. They work offline for every action (moves, check-outs, tags, photos, stock-take scans, work-order updates), syncing once you reconnect; read NFC tags with a tap on phones with NFC; and, from Growth, capture a GPS fix at the moment of each action, never in the background.

Does it integrate with our ERP or accounting system?

Through the REST API (Business plan), webhooks posted by alert rules, and Excel or CSV export of the register and reports. There are no pre-built connectors to specific ERP or accounting products — teams connect them via the API.

How is our data secured?

Every company gets an isolated database. Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS, access is role-based with nine permissions and deny-by-default, device sessions are short-lived and revocable, reader events are signed, and changes are kept in an audit trail. SSO and data-residency options are coming soon.
