Choose Asetavo if…

You track more than laptops (tools, equipment, furniture and other physical assets), you want to start free with more room before paying, and you need NFC or UHF RFID with fixed readers and zone alerts, GPS on scans and geofences, maintenance work orders and PM, and depreciation with separate book and tax views.

BlueTally may fit if…

You track IT devices only and want them to arrive on their own: BlueTally syncs devices from Intune, Autopilot, Jamf and Iru and employees from Entra ID, Okta and OneLogin, pulls Dell and Lenovo warranties, sends alerts to Slack or Teams, and offers SSO and unlimited users.

Where BlueTally may fit

BlueTally is the better choice for IT-only teams that want the inventory to fill itself. Its pricing page lists device sync from Intune, Jamf and more, employee sync from Entra ID and Okta by SCIM, Dell and Lenovo warranty sync, and Slack and Teams notifications on every paid plan, with SSO, a REST API, Jira and an AI assistant (MCP) from Business. Every plan includes unlimited users, while Asetavo plans include 2, 10 or 25 by plan. It also offers a Microsoft 365 licence add-on, employee self-audits on Corporate, a live demo and SOC 2 Type II certification. Asetavo has none of those syncs, SSO or Slack/Teams alerts, so if your assets are laptops managed in an MDM, BlueTally may suit you better. Neither product has a published native app: BlueTally describes itself as responsive web, and Asetavo runs in any phone browser today with native apps coming soon. Other options: teams comparing BlueTally also look at IT-focused open-source tools, check-out-focused apps and inventory-first products. Our compare hub covers several of them, and our best asset tracking software guide explains how to choose by use case.
