What is EPC (Electronic Product Code)?
The Electronic Product Code is the unique identifier written to the memory of a UHF-RFID tag.
In depth
The EPC is the primary ID a reader returns when it detects a UHF-RFID tag. Asetavo commissions each tag with an EPC and links it to a specific asset in your register.
Unlike the factory-set TID, the EPC can be written and rewritten, which lets you re-commission a tag to a new asset when one is retired.

The EPC holds a unique code that Asetavo maps to one asset; the descriptive data lives in the register, not on the tag.
