Dispose of an asset

Retire an asset with its disposal date, method and proceeds — Asetavo records the gain or loss and freezes its book value.

Prerequisites

The “finance” permission. The asset must not be checked out.

Open the asset and select the ⋯ menu → Dispose
Enter the disposal date.
Choose the method and proceeds
Pick the method (sold, scrapped, donated, written off or lost) and enter any proceeds, with a note.
Confirm
The asset moves to a final status, the disposal is recorded with its gain or loss against net book value, and the book value is frozen.
Warning
Disposal is final. Check the asset ID and date before confirming.
